Job Description:

Reporting: Reports directly to Operations Manager - Bar.

Description: The Asst Bar Operations Manager is responsible for upholding all guest service and suggestive selling standards, including but not limited to, food & beverage, entertainment, and guest service personnel. Participates in the hiring, training, scheduling, development, and performance evaluations for table service and guest service teams in congruence with Bar and General Managers.

Job Responsibilities:


Welcoming and interacting with all guests to help create a magical experience when on the floor

Performs all job-related functions in a cordial, friendly manner that is committed to exceeding guest and team member expectations.

Ensure all service and suggestive selling standards are met.

Coordinates all sales contests in conjunction with Operations Managers and Assistant General Managers to increase guest check average.

Directly oversees 40+ guest service and 40+ table service personnel.

P&L responsibility to labor.

P&L responsibility to purchase orders/inventory.

Background in vendor relations.

Executes all table service requirements for regular and event service.

Executes all guest service requirements for regular and event service.

Participates in table service and guest service team member recruiting

Facilitates guest and table service team member development, training, and continuing education programs.

Handles all guest service and table service team member scheduling, assistance in shift coverage, and labor cost

Supports Bar Manager in employee concerns or management of team

Training and Continuing Education of POS systems.

Executes all promotions and in-store marketing campaigns.

Assists in any department or any role where needed.

All FOH management, during most shifts, will be running the entire 700+seat facility.

Checks out with direct supervisor and finishes any tasks requested.

This is a afternoon/late evening position and includes weekends.

Job Requirements:

Prefer a minimum of three years of operations experience with a high-volume (over 1,000+ covers a day) regional or independent brand.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Extensive knowledge in managing guest service
Experience with scheduling software
Familiar with Accounting software for inventory purposes
Familiar with Toast or equivalent POS.
Three years of FOH Restaurant Management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume (over 1,000+ covers a day), casual dining concept.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Able to multitask.
Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required along with the ability to work well under pressure.
Up to date on all Food & Beverage industry trends.
Strong background in liquor, beer, and wine knowledge.
Prefer knowledge in classic cocktails.
Expectation of TiPs & Servsafe certification for training/renewal complete within first 30 days of employment.
Expectation of CPR/AED training/renewal complete within first 45 days of employment.
Expectation of RASI and POS systems training complete with in first 30 days of employment.
All positions require background check. No violent or sexual offenders are accepted.
Must be availble for 60-90 days training pre-open full time.
This position is a afternoon/evening position with one weekend day minimum.
Bilingual encouraged.
Essential Physical Requirements:

Must be able to speak, read, and hear/understand English fluently.
Must have close and distant vision.
Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent walking, standing, and moving between tight spaces.
Capable of walking and standing on feet for 8-10 hours a day.
Capable of walking extended distances.
Able to walk both up inclines and down declines multiple times in a shift.
Able to walk up and down stairs multiple times in a shift.
Frequently lifts/carries up to 45 pounds.
Occasionally lifts/carries up to 150 pounds (full beer kegs).
Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Must be able to pivot on feet to move around groups of people.
Must be able to move from seated to standing and standing to seated positions without assistance.
Able to reach hands and arms in any direction.
Capable of kneeling and stooping multiple times in a shift
