Job Description:

Preferred bilingual HRBP with 4+ years' experience to work with hundreds of employees onsite. This will include benefits, background checks, I-9, employee management, investigations, workman's comp claims and investigations, training, and onboarding. This is not a recruiting position, though you may do some screens and interviews.
This is an on floor interactive position onsite. We do not offer remote due to all employees being onsite. Schedule are around business hours and will include evenings and one weekend day as these are the times we have the most employees scheduled.

Job Responsibilities:


Provide an available, welcoming and empathetic contact for all employees in English and Spanish. We are here first for our employees and should be available on the floor and in break rooms throughout the day and at team meetings.
Help employees with the Paychex app, and teach them where to access and print pay stubs, view benefits, leave balances, request leave, access learning material, etc
Attend team meetings and document minutes
Check, View and phone screen applicants and send to hiring managers
Interviews of new applicants with the manager
Check applicant status daily and make sure each step is complete in onboarding and hiring
Checking background checks and scheduling & participating in Adverse Action reviews
New hire training, annual trainings and orientation as needed
Servsafe, TIPS, CPR/AED certified and able to train employees or support trainings
Partner with managers and supervisors on discipline, performance management, and employee 1:1
Partner with managers on quarterly and annual reviews
View video and send appropriate clips to security, manager or emergency services as needed
Investigations (including gather statements, employee interviews, video screening, and discipline)
Contact point with EMS, and fire and critical response incidents (printing employee lists for evacuation, verifying at meetup points)
Helping employee's complete incident or Workman's comp or accident reports
Creating, uploading or checking completion of Learning management system items
Supporting the annual open enrollment process each winter
Hiring events, job fairs, or college events
Help with fire drills, active shooter drills, and other trainings as needed.
Be a point of contact for employees to feel safe and heard while submitting issues under threat evaluation and see something, say something programs
Any additional items or support any department requests even if they are not directly HR related
Providing support to team members as needed
This position will include one weekend day and late afternoons and evenings after doors open, though prior to opening it will be mostly weekdays and normal business hours.
We expect all managers to be present for buyouts or large events as needed.

Job Requirements:

Able to communicate clearly in English and some Spanish with guest and team for all responsibilities of the job
Must have a minimum 4+ years' experience in HR a high paced, environment. Hospitality background preferred.
Experience with 250+ employees, Preferred over 500 employees
Must be over 21 years of age
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Preferred have experience with employee investigations, employee trainings, payroll, PMS and LMS systems.
PHR or SPHR preferred (or comparable certification)
Must be able to stand, walk, run during complete working shift- this position will be less then 20% seated in an office working directly with up to 500 employees. Our facility has ramps, stairs, and over 52,000 square feet you may be working in.
Must be comfortable working in an environment with continual flashing lights, fog machines, enclosed spaces, splashes from the water features, amplified sound systems with music, announcements and events going on.
Must be comfortable training groups of up to 50 employees per training
Must attend all orientation and training shifts
Must complete 90 day probationary period
Able to work effectively independently as well as part of the team
Able to multitask and work in an extremely fast paced environment
Speed, accuracy, and efficiency are required as well as the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work in a loud, distracting environment with large numbers of people constantly moving around the facility.
Willing to follow procedures and take direction

Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, late nights, holidays and special events. All shifts include a minimum of one weekend day and evenings. We don't open till 11am so this is not a 9-5 type position.
The first 3 months will be spent entirely on helping hire and train up to 500 coworkers for the opening. There is a possibilty these will be significant extended hours these weeks. After opening this should settle into a more set schedule but will always include evening and weekend hours.
