Job Description:
Rasta Pasta is seeking a General Manager to lead our single-unit, full-service restaurant. We have 15-20 employees and the General Manager will be over the front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Our ideal General Manager would be ready and able to assume all G.M. responsibilities detailed below upon hire. However, we are open to hiring a candidate with the desired qualities that may need additional time, experience, or training to grow to fulfill all G.M. responsibilities.
The General Manager of Rasta Pasta of Colorado Springs is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our single independent restaurant's operations. The primary function is to ensure a fantastic overall guest experience, maintain high-quality operations, and drive profitability. The G.M. leads our team, implements operational strategies, manages financial aspects, and fosters a positive, inclusive work environment. Strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and business acumen contribute to this role’s success.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a G.M. or in a similar leadership role within the restaurant industry.
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house positions, systems, and equipment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in financial management, budgeting, and cost-control techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility to work variable hours week to week to best meet the needs of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
• Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of 15-20 employees, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop, implement, and supervise comprehensive FOH and BOH initial and ongoing training programs. Create a culture of feedback and communication. Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure growth and development team members.
• Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate staff. Function as the primary point of contact and source of information for our team. Communicate timely and pertinent information as needed via phone, text, email, postings, and meetings.
• Develop knowledge of all restaurant positions and be able to jump in and support or cover any position when needed. Support the kitchen to ensure smooth pace, appropriate ticket times and quality food made right. Support the dining room to ensure a clean and welcoming environment and above and beyond service. Ensure communication and flow between the BOH and FOH. Regularly interact with guests, build relationships, and address needs and concerns. Handle feedback, issues, or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant. Evaluate, improve, and enforce operating procedures and systems for both FOH and BOH. Continually find and implement new ways for Rasta Pasta to be a better workplace and a better restaurant.
• Develop leaders and leadership roles within the FOH and BOH that expand our management resources and ensure smooth operations when the G.M. or owner are not present.
• Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, including revenue forecasts, cost analysis, and expense control. Monitor financial performance, review financial statements, and implement strategies to improve revenues and profitability.
• Monitor inventory levels, track food and beverage costs, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability. Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate and pursue opportunities for sourcing lower cost and better-quality products.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.
• Ensure efficiency, safety, and cleanliness of all restaurant facilities and equipment. Schedule regular preventative maintenance as well as timely repairs and replacement of equipment.
Job Requirements:
2-3 years of restaurant management experience preferred.
