Job Description:

We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line Cook's duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Job Responsibilities:

- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
- Cook food with various appliances or grillers
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion
- Answer, report, and follow the executive or sous chef’s instructions
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check the quality of ingredients
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Job Requirements:

- Proven experience as cook
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Communication skills
- Ability to work on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
