Job Description:

We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to be a leader in all aspects of our business. You will provide oversight of our front of house team and ensure that day to day operations run smoothly. You will report directly to our General Manager and coordinate with your fellow assistant manager to meet our standards of operations. Your responsibilities will include assisting the GM and Executive Chef in overseeing and maintaining all of the restaurant’s revenue, profitability, and quality goals. To succeed in this role you will need management and service experience and skills. In this role you will be expected to oversee the flow of the bar, dining areas, and beer gardens. You will be expected to check in with customers to ensure quality of service. In this role you will be expected to lead by example and support our staff during busy times in our fast-paced environment. You will be a role model for our company values and will bring a positive attitude to the space to help uplift our staff and contribute to a fun and helpful work environment. The ultimate goal of this role is to ensure that the restaurant is running smoothly, to ensure we are hitting profit goals, and to support and oversee our staff.

Job Responsibilities:

o Oversee daily front of house operations
o Coordinate with kitchen manage to support oversight of back of house operations
o Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
o Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
o Organize and supervise shifts
o Provide staff with positive as well as constructive feedback to improve productivity
o Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
o Maintain restaurant’s good image and find ways to improve it
o Support training process and development of new and existing employees
o Support implementation of all new, existing, or changing restaurant/company policies
o Responsible for holding self and staff accountable to company policies
o Ability to handle conflict and respond quickly and efficiently to any situations that arise
o Promote the restaurant and company brand
o Oversee food, beverage, and labor costs

Job Requirements:

o Proven work experience as a manager in a service-based industry
o Proven experience working in a restaurant front-of-house
o Extensive food and beverage knowledge
o Experience supporting and training new and existing staff
o Familiarity with restaurant software; experience with Toast is a plus
o Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
o Ability to recall ingredients of dishes and beverages to inform customers and staff
o ServSafe and TIPS (must be completed within 30 days of hire)
o Punctual and reliable
o Ability work on your feet for prolonged periods of time
