Job Description:


Next Door Eatery in Westminster, CO is where friends meet friends, drinks are flowing, and food is flying out of the kitchen. It’s easy, fun, and carefree. No reservations just pop on over and take a seat on the sunny patio or in the funky, eclectic dining room.The Server is responsible for taking care of guests and always delivering an experience of warm and relaxed hospitality. Our Server will support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting and progressive environment. This person should be a detail-oriented individual who will help to foster connections with friends, family and the community through service, food and drink. The ideal candidate should love to work with people and be able to smoothly handle high pressure situations. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Possess an innate desire to provide superior service and keep the guests experience at the forefront. Logic, drive, and a genuine love of people are necessities.
Excellent communication skills. Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the menu, Next Door On-Demand, inform customers of food preparation details and promote specials. Be able to discuss dietary restrictions and make appropriate recommendations, if needed.
Process, collect and handle payments. This includes but is not limited to properly and appropriately handling cash throughout the course of the shift. Must be able to run checkouts at the end of the shift per Company policy.
Take food and drink orders from patrons and input all orders into the Company’s Point of Sale system (POS), as needed.
-Prepare and clear tables, serve food and alcoholic beverages.
-Always deliver an experience of warm, relaxed hospitality.
-Demonstrate superior organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
-Perform side work, setup, and assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant.
-Assist the front of house staff as needed. Perform related work as requested; model and promote teamwork.
-Demonstrate detailed knowledge of beverages and assist with the serving of beverages.
-Ability to perform objectives in a timely and efficient manner with a focus on quality, while always maintaining an environment of hospitality.
-Promote and embrace the restaurant’s community and culture by demonstrating respect, positive energy, dependability, honesty, initiative, an outgoing nature and a -pleasant, professional appearance.
-Maintain and assist in company’s safety and cleanliness standards and be able to effectively communicate those standards to guests, as needed.
-Must be able to think on your toes, to make adjustments and decisions quickly, and always prioritize the guest experience.
-Sort and remove trash. Clean garbage cans as needed.
-Help unload deliveries and store supplies as needed. Restock supplies throughout the restaurant as needed.
-Assist other servers and staff as needed; model and promote teamwork. Complete and assist with side work whenever possible; this includes but is not limited to ensuring restrooms are tidy, sweeping or mopping floors, cleaning surfaces and ensuring all areas of the restaurant are stocked appropriately.

Job Requirements:

-1-2 years of restaurant experience, preferred.
-Must be passionate about hospitality.
-Superior temperament, adaptable nature and good communication skills.
-Motivated professional with a love for taking care of others.
-Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional.
-Food and beverage knowledge preferred.
-May be required to work in very warm or cold conditions for an extended period of time.
-The ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
-Must be at least 18 years of age.
-Must be able to serve alcohol.
